Can I bring my child?
You are more than welcome to bring the young ones. For this, parents/ legal guardians with children younger than 12 years old have to pre-register them in the dedicated form on the following link until July 17, 2024 (extended registration deadline). Registered children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who will have purchased a valid festival pass at this year's festival edition. More details about the pre-registration procedure and the dedicated pre-registration form can be read HERE.
Children between the 12 and 16 years old need a valid day ticket or festival pass and must be under adult supervision at all times. If you will be accompanying a minor, please read the details and fill out the parental declaration document available in this article. You will need this form printed and filled to be able to pick up you access bracelet from one of the ARTmania festival ticket-swap points.
Children between 16 and 18 years old need a valid day ticket or festival pass but do not need adult supervision and can come with the ticket/ pass and the filled in parental declaration at one of the ARTmania Festival ticket-swap points. They just need to fill and come with the filled in and signed parental declaration document available in the article HERE.
If your child turns 12 during the festival, please consult art. 5 of the Festival Regulations, to see which case applies to you.
Can I bring my water/beer/bag of chips?
Access with any type of food or drinks from the outside is prohibited. However, we have a good selection of beers, wines, soft drinks and coffee to keep you hydrated and a range of snacking options for all tastes.
Can I bring my backpack/rucksack/purse?
You can, as long as it doesn’t exceed this size. We want everyone to be comfortable. And truth be told, how are you gonna headbang with such heavy weight upon you?
Can I take my perfume/deodorant/cosmetics with me?
We appreciate that all metal ladies should be able to be on point. Just make sure your bottle of sweetest perfume is not larger than 30ml, same for the deo stick. Sprays are not allowed. Any cosmetics should be kept safe, don’t go poking someone out.
I have a disability, how accessible is the festival for me?
People with disabilities have free access to the festival, limited to 30 festival passes.
If the differently abled person suffers from a severe disability and needs a personal assistant, this assistant will also benefit from free access.
If the persons who need to be assisted by a companion are not accompanied by this companion, then they canNOT be given a festival wristband which offers access in the festival.
To obtain an access wristband, differently abled people who wish to participate in the festival are asked to read the details and pre-register by July 17, 2024 (extended registration deadline) by filling in the form available in the article HERE.
With the registration confirmation received by email, people with special needs can come to one of the festival's ticket-swap points with a valid ID.
The differently abled person and, possibly, their personal assistant will each be given a wristband corresponding to the day or days on which they want access to the event.
What’s the difference between a pass and a ticket?
Pretty simple: a day ticket is issued for one single day, and the festival pass is issued for two of the festival days (Friday, July 26, 2024 or Saturday, July 27, 2024) or for all three festival days (July 26-28, 2024). Thus, if you have a day ticket, you will only have access to the concerts of the day for which you have the ticket, and if you have a festival pass, you will have access to all the concerts of the two days (Friday and Saturday, July 26 and 27, 2024) or on all three festival days filled with metal, nu metal and prog mayhem (July 26 - 28, 2024), depending on the type of festival pass you have.
What’s the wristband?
When you come over to one of the ARTmania festival ticket-swap points, after getting your ticket or festival pass scanned, you will receive a RFID wristband according to your ticket/ festival pass type. This will both grant you access in the festival perimeter and partner locations (e.g.: museums) and help you pay in a simple and cashless way inside the festival (except: Cărturești corner). Keep your RFID wristband on your hand throughout the festival period and do not remove it under any circumstances. It’s washable and water resistant. Or beer resistant.
HOW DO I GET MY WRISTBAND?
You can get your wristband (RFID wristband) after your ticket or pass has been scanned.
You will be able to pick up this wristband at one of the ARTmania ticket-swap points even on Thursday, July 25th, before the festival starts, between 15:00 and 21:00 or during the festival days (Friday and Saturday, July 26 and 27), anytime between 12:00 - 00:00.
To avoid the crowds or to spend too much time standing in line, regardless of whether you have a day ticket or a festival pass, if you have one we encourage you to come and exchange your wristband at one of the ARTmania festival ticket-swap points as early as Thursday, July 25, starting at 15:00 h.
WHAT ARE THE ARTMANIA TICKET-SWAP POINTS, WHERE ARE THEY, WHEN ARE THEY OPEN?
The ARTmania ticket-swap points are the containers located in different locations near the festival perimeter (in Piața Mare = the Large Square), such as the large container near the main gate in Piața Mare (the Large Square).
These ARTmania ticket-swap points are well signposted, so you can't miss them.
What you can do at the wristband exchange points:
- exchange your tickets and passes for the wristband
- buy tickets and passes (if they are still available for sale)
- submit documentation for access with minors
- submit documentation for disabled access
- get your wristbands if you're on our accreditation lists
I’m a student, what’s the deal with the tickets?
Students (school or college) can buy tickets at a discounted price called THE SCHOLAR. However, you will need to present a valid ID and a valid student ID at our Info Point in order to receive your wristband. It doesn’t matter whether you're in school or finishing up your PhD as long as your education institution is accredited by the Romanian State or by the government of your country of residence. Just have a valid student ID and a valid ID with you at the gates.
BAG ALLOWANCE
Access is permitted with one bag/participant, provided it is not bigger than 50x30x20cm. This bag may be a backpack, a pouch, a strap bag, a fanny pack, or variants of these items. Please do not bring bags on wheels or strollers.
This rule is meant to ensure the comfort and manageable safety of all festival participants.
